The Future Band was created by the three founding members (JamesPoet, EY, Stephan "Truck" Naylor) in 2010. Since then the alternative band has thrilled audiences across DC,Virginia, and Maryland with their tremendous energy and proven ability to entertain audiences of all ages. Melding the essence of Hip Hop, Soul, and GoGo; and in the styles of The Roots, Earth Wind & Fire, and Rare Essence.

The Future Band combines the very best of many genres of music, while entertaining and captivating audiences with their sincerity and power.

The Future Band CD catalog includes their critically acclaimed 2011 summer release “#NowPlaying @FutureBandDC", their 2014 release “Rockstar”, and their 2017 release "Live From The City", which has been met with rave reviews.
